Hand balls happen on various occasions throughout the football world. You're right it could be a hand of a cheat, but Ghana got a very good chance to win the game in front of their African fans for that hand ball! I remeber a few games ago Argentina scored a goal against Greece which doubled their lead to 2-0. There was a hand ball by an Argentine player, you think the ref blew his whistle to interfere with that cheat! he did not. Edited by Mc Esse, Jul 4 2010, 01:42 AM.

Damn is this gunna be another year for Germany. Grrr Kinda wanted Argentina and Portugal to meet. I was ridiculously frustrated with Portugal. Could ntget any strikes in. That defense was so solid and Ed was such a beast sticking in there. Spain should win but they won't if they only keep scoring just once. |

Got a few things to say one the people saying Villa was offside against Portugal are morons, as I said Portugal played like crap and the only reason it was one to nothing was cause Eduardo which was their best player. Portugal needs to get rid of Queiroz he sucks, they struggled to the qualification as it is already I never liked him and now even less. As for the finals I think we will see Netherlands against Germany. Spain is a long time Portugal rival like Brasil is and I do not want to see Spain in the finals, therefore I want Netherlands against Germany so that an European team can win it for the first time outside Europe. However I do think Spain will take third place of course. It just that Spain soccer bores me, just like the Portuguese soccer games bored me this year (minus the North Korea game) they play too much passing hold on to the ball too long, I am aware that is what is getting them the win the patience, but sooner or later it may be their downfall as well (Example- Switzerland) it just turns into a boring game to watch |

I put money on Holland before the tournament began, so i'm definitely hoping for them. I think they have a good chance, however I would say Germany are not just the strongest team at the tournament atm but with their team and age are going to be a strong tournament contender for a few years. Holland vs germany final. (hopefuly) it's good that sneijder is finally getting some recognition after being one of the best players last season, winning the treble, yet was hardly applauded while Messi, Ronaldo and Rooney were hyped to an un-arttainable level. |

Spain is playing the same way Italy played during their 2006 run for the cup. That's why they're going to beat Germany. Sure Germany is a high scoring methodist team, but it is impossible score against a closed tight defense who's counter attack will rip through the German midfield. All they have to do is pass the ball to Villa and the game is won. The German defense shouldn't be so impressive. Argentina got shut out, but Argentina should have played better. If Spain plays better than how they played vs Paraguay and more like they played in the 2008 Euro final they'll beat Germany.

Well if their managment team's any good, then Spain will play much better next time around. If all the teams played at their best we could see a Spain-Germany final. In reality I believe it will be either Uruguay/Holland against Germany. As previously mentioned, Spain just aren't scoring enough goals for them to be real contenders. Germany seem to be getting better with each match though, with the excepetion of that one game where they played quite poorly. |

If they score 1 goal and don't aloow the Germans a single goal they will win. Plus the Spanish defense is MUCH better than Germany's, and Spain already has the best midfield in the world as well as the best striker in the world, Spain is the better team between the two. This Germany fiasco has got to end, they definetley won't score 4 vs Spain, Spain will win. 1-0 Spain 1-0 Holland Those are my predicitions. |

Really? Spain have a world class right back, but Puyol and Capdevilla are liabilities no matter how much their hyped. maybe a better midfield and attack, but the German defence is stronger. Torres is way off his best, Silva's been dropped, Casillas saved a penalty but has been below par. A schweinsteiger inspired Germany to win 3-1. |

I'd go with that. Germany were incredibly orgainised at the back, much more so than Spain. Plus Spain only has one good goal scorer, germany have at least 4. |

No way. Cassilas has been the best of the tournament. Leads the tourny in clean sheets and has made a handful of game saving stops. |

Well today's result was pretty much predicted by everyone. Even Kevin Kegan got it right. Holland won. Was their second goal off side? I don't think it was. The ball was not passed to the player nor did it make any contact. Not offside. One of the few good calls made by that seemingly half-blind linesman. |

YESSSSS I'M HAPPY TOO THAT BRAZIL DIDN'T WIN . Some of my friends are devout Spanish, born in Spain! the real thing. I went driving with them after Spain won just for the fun of it. Family, neighbors and nations should be good to each other.
